IN THIS WORKSHOP YOU WILL LEARN
This training explores principles of Trauma-Informed Care and how these can be implemented in the correctional setting while honoring and upholding legal requirements and goals of corrections. The training seeks to increase collaboration with corrections staff and clinical staff to influence trauma-informed policies and procedures in facilities overall.
Practice level: Beginner to intermediate.

Hey I'm Kate! 👋
I'm a licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a wealth of knowledge working with people who live with disabilities. Legal, medical, mental health, long term care, and teaching/training fields experience complement years in field of social work. Training and experience in trauma treatment, motivational interviewing, implementation of evidence-based practices, program evaluation, clinical supervision, and experience working with diverse cultures, life experiences, and age groups. I earned an MA in Adult Learning and Development, MSW, post-graduate certificate in Behavioral Health and Aging. Published in NASW trade publication and academic journals. Presented training and lectures at colleges and conferences.
